Well, technically the UK is in Europe, as part of the European Peninsula. But politically, there are Pros and Cons on weather the UK should fully join Europe (e.g. exchange the pound for the Euro, abide by the EU's many laws). I believe Britain as a whole hasn't fully decided, something to do with our island status which sets us apart from the rest of Europe.
