You have to remember that each woman has different rates of HCG. If you have a 28 day cycle, I would think that you ovulated (and conceived) around the 29th of August. On average, a woman with 22HCG would be 10dpo (days past ovulation), which means you conceived about 29th of August as well! But some women have been shown to be around the 17HCG on 14dpo - so you could've conceived as early as 25th of August.
Pregnancy tests measure the level of hcg in your body. When you are pregnant, and as your pregnancy progresses, your hcg level rises. When you take a urine pregnancy test and it comes back negative, the level of hcg is not high enough to register on the test. When the quantitative serum pregnancy test is positive, it is a more acurate reading of how far along in your pregnancy you actually are.
An hCG level of less than 5mIU/ml is considered negative for pregnancy, and anything above 25mIU/ml is considered positive for pregnancy.
Yes, your hCG level is still elevated from the last pregnancy for about 6 weeks.

Most of blod and urine pregnancy tests measure the level of hormone called hCG, which is created after the egg is fertilized. Different pregnancy test may have different sensitivity, so it will depend on particular test type when it will test positive. However usually a pregnancy test will test positive after first few days of pregnancy.
I dont think the fetus breathes. a pregnancy test will pick up the HCG level in the womans urine or blood. that is what will give you your answer.
I would look at your hcg levels from the report. An hCG level of less than 5mIU/ml is considered negative for pregnancy, and anything above 25mIU/ml is considered positive for pregnancy. out of curiosity, why would you challenge? Are you certain you are not pregnant?
I believe it may take 2-5 days in order to allow the pregnancy hormones to build up to a level where they can be detected by a home pregnancy test. Having said that, I took a pregnancy test within hours of having an implantation bleed with my son and it appeared positive within seconds!
H- mole. Rapidly enlarging abdomen, amenorrhea and increased level of HCG.
Yes. Many people cannot get a high enough hcg level to register on a home pregnancy test and need special blood work done to get a positive result.
