Most people say to stop breeding around not that is bad but most female hamsters become sterile around a year to 14 months but my hamster is a year old and she and her sister both still go into heat. I love them and one has had babies already and im thinking about now so ill tell u what happens good luck hope this helps;)
When the female and male hamster are AT LEAST 3 - 4 MONTHS OLD or the mama will have poor babies and the babies might be disfomed when the mama is in heat usually every 4 days ( tip: never just put the mama hammy and soon to be papa hammy to together let them get to know each other if they are Syrians but if they are dwarfs then do the same but when the Syrian hamster(female or male show signs of lossing interest then immediately separate them or it may lead in to a fight but when in mating the female should freeze and have her tale up and the male should do what a male would do and the male would clean himself several times, but NEVER EVER breed with out know what to do and NEVER touch the babies and NEVER interfere in the beeding please,
a syrian hamster has on average 4 litters a year, because you must let her rest in between litters, or she will die from excaustion
The hamsters need to be 10 weeks old
Eryday.
Make sure you breed only hamsters that you have had for a long time, longer than 6 months.Good hamsters to breed are Syrian Hamsters. Get hamsters that are in good health, with glossy eyes and smooth fur. Slowly get the male and female hamster accustomed to each other and after about a week, there will be baby hamsters.
hamsters can have around 6 to 12 babies at a time. sometimes they can have more but its not likely that they will. just be careful not to breed them more than 6 times or they could become stressed and die!
The dwarf hamster is probably the best for first time breeders because they enjoy living in groups and other hamsters have to be separated and its a little difficult to get all the details.
Baby hamsters will start walking at around 10 days old foraging for food, although at this time they are still blind and the eyes have not yet opened. The eyes open at 14 days old.
A hamster has about 5-7 babies at one time. It depends on the breed, age and health of the hamster. Dwarf hamsters can have up to 14 pups; Syrian hamsters can have up to 24. The average litter is usually 6-10.
if your hamsters are two boys and you got them from the same pet store in the the same cage then it would be ok but that's probably the only time it would be. if it was a boy and a girl it would be ok to but then you would have baby hamsters.
A baby calf is just that: a baby, not an animal that is able to breed yet. Calves are only able to breed by the time they are around 15 months of age, and at that age they have lost their calf stage.
They can breed at any time in the year and only one baby. :)
Yes, you need to make them visit each others cages all most every time you play on it. Then when you go to the pet shop a message box will pop up and say that your hamster is pregnant .
If u want to take the time then u could bottle feed them
most of the time no matter what they are always half sleeping because they are noctural
All hamsters have the same amount of baby hamsters (pups). They usually have 2-8 pups per litter. Usually, you will only get 6 or 7. On rare occasions, you could get 10 pups!
