changing the timing belt is a 1 time shot. 3000gt engines are interference motors, which means if the belt breaks or slips the pistons will hit and bend the intake and exhaust valves. you can also hit the valves if you do not correctly time the cams and crankshaft properly. if you still feel like taking a chance you can got to www.stealth316.com and www.team3s.com they have technical pages that explain in depth how to change the timing belt. They don't have one. They were added post 1996.
If you look on the sides of the cams and the puleys that involve the timing belt you should see little white dots. that indicates the marks.
