On a 1997 Ford Explorer :
I believe there is a fuel reset warning light just above and in - between the
speedometer and tachometer that is supposed to light up when the fuel pump
inertia switch ( shut off switch ) has been " tripped " and needs to be manually
reset by pushing the button down that has popped up on the top of the switch
( when you first turn your ignition key to the run position , just before starting
the engine , you should see the light come on , just to prove that the bulb still
works
The fuel pump inertia ( shut off ) switch is in the front passenger footwell , by or behind the kick panel
the fuel pump inertia switch on a 1997 Ford Explorer is located in the right front passenger area. It is below the dash but above the carpet in the right hand corner. If you do not smell gas or have any gas leaking, press the button down that has popped up on the top of the switch.
It doesn't have a reset switch. That's a Ford thing.
If you are talking about the fuel pump reset switch, they are usually in the trunk.
On a 1997 Ford Explorer : The push button switch to turn on and off the fog lights is in ( the center stack of the dash , to the right of the radio )
In a 1997 Ford Explorer : The fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) is in the front passenger footwell , by ( or behind ) the kick panel
