Cheapest, most effective, least messy cure:
Mix 1 part white vinegar with 9 parts water. Draw it up into a syringe (no needle) or turkey baster. While in the shower or over the lavatory (toilet) insert one or two syringefuls. Do this morning and night until the itch goes away. Usually goes after 1-2 showers.
Ringworm of the scalp is known as tinea capitus. (TINN-ee-uh CAP-ih-tuss)

Adding two packets of Sweet 'N Low to the hair color mixture will numb the scalp and stop the color from burning without affecting the color results. This is a very common practice in the salon.
