Yes it is much more likely that the problem is with the speed sensor than the guage or the computer.
There are toe-touches, tuck jumps, a-jumps, pikes, right herkeys, left herkeys, and hurdles front, right and left and pikes.
Send to a speedometer repair shop or replace speedometer head
The speedometer cable connects to the transmission speed sensor with a swivel nut. Simply turn the swivel nut to the right to connect the speedometer cable.
The speedometer cable gear is broken inside the transmission. If the car is older, it is an easy fix. Follow the cable to the input on the tranny, unscrew the cable and the gear is right there. Pop it out and replace it with a new one from the auto parts store. They should be able to order it for you.

In the dash, right in front of the steering wheel :)
right outside the tranny
well when the car shutts off it will cut the power to your accessorie of the vehicle which runs the speedometer fuel guage water temp. ect. But if you are driving turn off the key and then turn it to accessories on that's 1 extra turn right before starting point then your accessories will work while you are rolling down the street with car off. But i don't see a point why you would do that lol. W/E
you hold in the mouse key in till the arrow goes as high as you want for big jumps and the right arrow key for little jumps
pop the hood and look right at where the back of the dash is the should be a cable coming out at that spot that's the speedometer cable
