It depence on your engine, most D5 10yrs or 96k mileage.
There is not a cam belt in this engine. It has timing chains. No service due, unless they break.
The cost to change a timing belt on a Volvo S60 ranges from $500 to $750. It is an expensive repair in most instances due to timing consuming nature of the job.
This is also refered to as the timing belt. Volvo recommends replacement every 110,000 miles. But recent evidence of failed belts, point to a sooner change. To be safe, replace it before 90,000. It is easy to look at, pull back the access cover on the top left side if the engine. If it shows signs of cracking or the back side is worn shiny (due to a failing idler wheel, which you can hear as a oscillating squeal) change it as soon as possible!
after 60 to 70 thousand miles , thats what the dealership says as they sent me a letter stating that my car is due to to change mine
Change the belt as outlined in your owners manual. If you do not have one call a Vauxhall dealer to find out when it is due to be changed. For sure change it every 100,000 miles 160,000 kilometers.
Yes, and it must be changed every 105,000 miles. Also change the water pump as it is driven by the cam belt. This will save you labor cost down the road as the pump will not last 220,000 miles until the next cam belt change is due. Warning: This is an interference engine and if the belt breaks you will have serious internal engine damage.
It can be the cam belt or the serpentine belt. The cam belt must be replaced every 90,000 miles. Warning: This is an interference engine. If the belt breaks you will have serious engine damage. Replace the cam belt if it is due for replacement. Inspect the serpentine belt and replace if you see any cracks or fraying. If the serpentine belt looks fine or you replace it and the noise is still there, replace the cam belt no matter when it was last replaced. It can be the idler pulley for the cam belt needs replacing and is not holding the correct tension on the belt. This can cause the belt to break even if it is new.
You failed to list the year. The Honda Fit which is the name for the Jazz in the U.S. does not have a cam belt but instead has a chain. The name Jazz has been used on many Honda vehicles so look in your owner's manual or call a Honda dealer to find out for sure.
bhim limbu i have VW TOURAN 1.9TDI 2007 PLATE DIESEL ENGINE AT MINUTE ON CLOCK 53000 MILES, WHEN WILL BE DUE TO CHANGE CAMBELT?
80,000 or 72 months - which ever is soonest. If the engine has been driven hard all its life then it has been suggested to change it at 60,000 due to the belt not being very wide......
The five cylinder engines, that is to say the 130ps & 174ps engines are gear driven. No cam belt or chain exists. There is a requirement to replace the 'Gates Couplings' at 80,000 miles on these unconventional engines. The four cylinder engines (85ps, 102ps and 104ps) have the standard cam belt (timing belt) arrangement. The change for those is due at 60,000 miles or four years. For more information on these vans search for 'brick-yard' ;-)
It is always recommended when you replace timing belt to replaces any and all timing belt components, but if they do not show ware and tension correctly then you are good to go, it is always easier to do preventive maintenance then repair or replace due to component damage, usually you can purchase a complete cam timing belt set. Peace of mind is cheap. Not to mention doing the job right the first time or doing it a second time, labor and time.
