"Next" is a moving target, of course. This post was written on June 6, 2012, and the "next" lunar eclipse will be a penumbral lunar eclipse on November 28, 2012. In a penumbral lunar eclipse, the Moon becomes a little darker than normal, but generally not enough darker to be noticeable. There will be a partial lunar eclipse on April 25, 2013, and a couple more penumbral eclipses. The next total lunar eclipse will be April 15. 2014.

The next lunar eclipse is set to occur on November 28th, 2012. This is a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse. April 25th, 2013 is when the next one from 2012 will occur. This is a Partial Lunar Eclipse. Keep in mind that an eclipse isn't always visible from every point on Earth-- You have to be fortunate that the shadow falls upon your region at the right time of day!
There will be a penumbral lunar eclipse on August 6, 2009 (you won't notice it), and a partial lunar eclipse on December 31, 2009, visible from the Eastern Hemisphere.

There will be a total solar eclipse on August 21, 2017, which will be "coast to coast" of the United States, with the path of totality crossing the entire North American continent from Oregon to South Carolina. It won't be a total eclipse in Michigan, but it will be a partial eclipse of about 80% totality for most of the state. Well to calculate when we are going to see the next eclipse, we need a satellite. you can find out when in smart phones and other devices. the satellites will calculate the revolution and find out when is the next eclipse going to happen. .

There will be penumbral lunar eclipses on July 7 and August 6, 2009. Don't bother to look; you won't notice them. There will be partial lunar eclipses on December 31 2009 and June 26, 2010. The December 31, 2009 lunar eclipse will probably not be noticeable; only about 8% of the Moon's surface will be darkened. The June 26, 2010 eclipse will darken a little more than half of the Moon. The next total lunar eclipse will be December 21, 2010.
