If you were the one who was cheated on, it is not your fault. If you are the one that cheated it is your fault for ruining something you already had.
Both can be At Fault for the problems in a marriage but the one who takes the actual step and cheats and involve someone else in the problem, that person is at fault for doing that. It can be stopped in time but they made a decision not to. The third party who he/she cheated with should just be held outside of the equation. It would just mess up your problem even further. That person had nothing to do with the problems you had from the beginning.
