if the car is rear wheel drive, sounds like a u-joint. If it is front wheel drive, sounds like a cv joint. It could also be your engine mounts wearing out. If the rubber insulation has worn out then the engine will shift slightly against the mount and make a clunking noise. This happened on my 96 Nissan Quest minivan.
sounds like your drive axles are going bad.
Without knowing year, make, model I'll just point out the easy one. Dry lower control arm bushings.
There can be two possibilities. The first is your wheel bearing going bad. The second could be the drive axle wearing out.
I am going to take a brief break for lunch.

Your shocks are going out. You may also want to replace the springs as well.

Most people will tap the brakes of a car when their car is going downhill, usually to keep the car under the speed limit. The squeaking noise could be the brake rotors or the brake pads.Ê
A ball joint going bad.
Drop your jaw until you hit it without it going high/squeaking.
If there is a squeaky noise coming from any of your wheels and from pressing on the brakes, then I am supposing that there is something wrong with your brakes. From my past experiences with squeaky noises coming from my wheels, I got it checked out by a mechanic and he said that my brakes were worn out to the point where I was going to lose brake control in the wheels that were squeaking. I would suggest you get your squeaky wheel and brakes checked out by a mechanic. You might have to only change the brakes if its not too serious. I wish you the best of luck!
