If you feel confident about any submissions that you make as part of a team, and you know that your idea will save the company money and the team doesn't agree, go over their heads to the bosses or the Administration. Most people on teams don't do their homework, they just hang around and copy what real workers do, and then there's always the nay-sayers who don't agree on anything because they haven't the brains to tie their own shoes. If you ever get in a situation that you know that will save the company money, take it past the team if they don't agree with you. You will find that by doing that management will look at you in a different light especially come raise time, because you took the time to do your homework on whatever subject the team didn't agree with.
