Typically diesel engines do not have timing marks. However, if there are timning marks on your Mazda B2500 diesel, they will be found below the crankshaft section of the engine.
The recommended timing belt interval is at 160000 kilometers or 100000 miles.
The timing belt on a 2002 Mazda 626 should be changed every 100,000 miles. By replacing it before it completely fails, costs repairs can be avoided.
It should be changed every 60,000 miles on all years 1988-94 with a timing belt. It is not an interference engine.
Every 60,000 miles Here is how to replace the timing belt http://www.racecaddy.com/mx5/tech/timing-belt-mx5.html Good luck

Between 90k and 100k miles..any higher and your risking expensive repairs
Timing an engine requires that it have spark plugs, a diesel engine only has glow plus, no timing required. Now, if the valve to piston timing is off, you will need to replace the timing belt or chain, aligning the timing marks then. Get a repair manual like a Chilton's.
90,000 miles and it's NOT an interference engine ( according to the Gates website listing for the 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine in a 2002 Mazda Tribute )
It is important to know when to replace the parts within a vehicle. The timing belt on this car should be changed close to every 100,000 miles.?æ
