Should have bushings in it?
Soon,
Not including Trans Mounts, Should be 2, on has 2 bushings in it, the one closer to the rear
There are many bushings on a front lower control arm. However, i have a 2003 honda accord and it only needs the big bushing to be replaced and many shops quoted me around $200-260. All shops required to have the alignment done at the same time and it should be around $50-70 so shop around. Good luck
I don't know how much it should cost, but I know what it did cost on a 2000 LX model. At a Honda dealer in Bethesda MD the price is $587 parts and labor. I am sure that comparison pricing would result in a lower cost to the consumer. just recently (feb 2011) replaced 2 bushings on my 2000 lx civic. pepboys wanted ~$450 for labor and parts. cost me about $400 (labor and parts) by bringing it to local mechanic instead. (south eastern PA)
if it is cracking exesively
Sounds like your front-end bushings may need to be replaced. Without the proper tools you should consult a mechanic.
It MUST be replaced every 105,000 miles or 10 years whichever comes first.
Center bearing should be replaceable after removing driveshaft
All fuel filters should be replaced at least every 2 years.
Honda what???????
your local honda dealership. they will have the exact match you need. i went to an advance auto for lower control arm bushings, and they were more expensive then the dealership. and on top of that too small! so i now go to the dealership if i need OEM parts for my 1989 honda prelude
