Your "Owner's Manual" recommend to ISNPECT the Engine Accessory Drive Belt at every 150,000 miles (see page 6-9). To be safe, do it at every oil change. Replace if necessary.....
A 2003 Impala does not have a timing belt. It has a chain.
you have to remove the belt tensioner to remove the belt off of the engine.
You should change the timing belt on a 2003 when it wears out or breaks. Changing the belt beforehand is not needed.
