A sample should be examined with low power first when observing any sample for the first time under the microscope. Now if you want to focus on one particular region in the sample then you can step it up to high power lens. Objective lens are not that expensive and good way to look at some simple tissue structures.
The objective lens with the lowest magnification, usually 4x. Be sure to clean all the lens with lens paper before putting the microscope away.
If you are using the oil immersion objective on a microscope, you must use oil to increase the resolution of the lens. These lens are used at very high magnification.
b
scanning objective
One can obtain a total magnification of 400x while using an objective lens of 40x. Such a lens should be used along an eyepiece of 10x.
You should use the lowest value lens. It is the shortest one.
A microscope should be stored in low power objective lens because the lens can scratch against the lens.
The low power or lowest power objective
The ocular is the upper lens and objective is the lower lens
low power objective lens
So you do not crack the high power objective lens - this lens is very fragile and expensive.
The objective lens with the lowest magnification, usually 4x. Be sure to clean all the lens with lens paper before putting the microscope away.
So you don't crack the slide or damage the lens
The objective lens in a microscope helps to magnify the object being viewed on the slide. The objective lens can be rotated to change the magnification of the lens and yield a different view.
The lens with the greatest (positive) curvature. The lens with the highest diopter.
so the objective lens will not touch the slide.
The objective lens that focuses closest to the slide is 100x, it has the longest lens so the highest power. Be careful not to crack the slide and make sure you use oil if it is an oil immersion lens.
