We have minute blood vessels beneath our skin, called capillaries. When you press your skin, blood is forcibly pushed away and the skin looks blanched. Once you release the pressure, blood re-fills the capillaries again and they look pink again. You are probably a white, hence this effect will be even more pronounced.
This is the basis of 'diascopy', a test dermatologists perform. Also, a variation of this phenomenon is exploited by doctors and forensic experts, to indicate possible death.
