If it has the Ford sourced euro 4 engine it is 144k miles or 10 years. There is a lot of conjecture even between dealers. It is a big job for Volvo being about £500 so they'd like to see it done more frequently! This engine runs a shorter belt due to 1 of the cams being chain driven and a desire to reduce the running costs of this engine with it's expensive emissions control system. Ask a Ford dealer to do it and the rates will be far more favourable.
