If you are using a laptop, then make sure that you are not dragging the heel of either hand on the touchpad. This will move the mouse cursor and you can potentially relocate the typing cursor without meaning to do so. This is less common with a desktop computer because most people do not use keyboards that have touchpads or other mouse controls built into them. However, if you do have one that does, such as the Logitech K400 (which is a wireless keyboard that has a touchpad to the right of the keyboard), then you could be running into this issue. An easy solution to this is something I saw a colleague do at a school in Las Vegas about 20 years ago. He took a mouse pad, cut it in half from side to side, and put one part of it over the touchpad so that even if he did let his wrists get lazy and collapse, the heels of his hands would not touch the touchpad and therefore not cause the random movements that he experienced.
Another possibility is that you have some sort of infection (e.g. virus, trojan horse, backdoor client, etc.) that is monkeying around with your computer. Something you can try to eliminate this as a possibility is to disable the internet connection to that computer and see whether the problem still occurs. If it is a software-controlled issue in that it randomly changes the location of the typing cursor on its own, the disconnection of the Internet will make no difference but if it is that someone is using a backdoor client or other type of remote control software to gain access to your machine and do this as a practical joke, then when you cut the Internet connection, the game will stop and you will know that you need to get your machine scanned for viruses.
These are the two most likely issues that can be causing this problem. There could be other issues but I would be willing to bet that one of these two solutions will take care of your problem. If you have other questions or need further guidance, though, feel free to drop me a line.
