When using sink and sweep for pools will your water still be cloudy until you vacuum it?

I just did this yesterday, and I do it every time I open my pool. Usually I have green algae blooms formed from my pool being closed for the winter. This use to scare me, I remember my first season where I ran out and bought a crap ton of chemicals and just wasted money…I was uneducated. Now I get a 50% algaecide, usually copper based from wal-mart and dump it in the pool. Keep it running for 24hrs, and when you come back the next day it should be like milk about a foot down but not green anymore…. This is a good sign…. You may notice a yellow staining on the side of the pool, this is in part from the copper but mainly from the dead algae. Once again in my first season, I panicked but all is well…. Then I took the sink and sweep and add the whole bottle, let it run for a few hours and shut everything down…. The next morning, crystal clear but there was a light white film at the bottom of the pool. For here you have to sweep too waste, if you don't know what that is Google it, it's out there. My sink and swim always worked but I did have a friend where it failed and never settled. They say that it will remain cloudy if you still have live algae in the pool, but I have never encountered that. He repeated the above process and was crystal clear in a weekend. So, to answer your question, no it shouldn't be cloudy. If you added the sink and sweep, ran it for 2 hours and shut down the pumps for a night you should be good to go with a thin white film on the bottom.
