Her younger brother died of the plague or was poisoned. Isabella married Ferdinand of Aragon without permission. Henry died. There was a war between Juana, his daughter and Isabella's forces. Isabella won and became Queen of Castile. Her marriage to Ferdinand united Castile and Aragon to become the country of Spain.
