Nintendo recommends that no one under the age of seven plays the 3DS while it is displaying in 3D, because of the risk of eye damage. The ability to display in 3D can be locked with the 3DS's parental controls.

NIntendo was founded September 23, 1889. Meaning that it is 125 years old. They created Poker cards during the time, but in the 1950's they made a cab service. In the 1960's they made toys for children. But they took a turn in the late 1970's and became more technological and started making Video Games.

There is no set age for it. A good age to give a Nintendo DS to a child would be around 8 or 9 yrs old so that they will be ably to handle it properly and not scratch up the screen too badly.
