About 130 million years ago is a guesstimate of the time that the first honey bee was found by animals and plants in the Gondwana homeland to the subsequent continents of Africa, Antarctica and Australia and to the subsequent subcontinent of India. About 35 to 40 million years ago represents a guesstimate of the introduction of the first honey bees to fellow animal and plant residents of what now is India. About 6 million years ago and about 2 to 3 million years ago respectively serve as guesstimates of the first honey bee's reception by the rest of Asia's animals and plants and of its welcome by human ancestors in ancient Africa.
