The best answer I have seen is 2030. The national debt will overtake our ability to pay it off.

Of course there is that "We are America, kiss our *ss /come and take it" thing we have going for us. What's any other country going to do about it?

well as soon as they lose value of the dollar because they currently have a dollar accepted worldwide for things such as oil. but several countries have held a meeting about possibly using the Japanese yen to replace the dollar for the internationally accepted currency, a meeting the U.S. was not invited to. This doesn't mean they will crumble, but will enter another great depression in only a matter of time. I believe that the us will never be able to pay its debt that is in a number beyond the trillions. i am not trying to scare you if you're American, but it could cease to be independent in less than 50 years. the same happened to a European country called Yugoslavia, Google them, they don't exist anymore for a reason
