Because they know the call of there own baby's!
A baby penguin may stay with its parents for nearly the first year of its life. After that it is weaned and on its own.
Baby platypuses do not have to survive on their own. They suckle from their mother for at least four months, and tend to stay with her until they are around eighteen months to two years old.
None. A kangaroo joey cannot survive on its own. It must be at least a year old.
Anything, that's an animal, that is a baby usually can't survive without its mother. But later on they out grow it and learn to survive on there own. =)

im not shure but i think it has to do with the size of its fat. or mabye its fecees.
It begins when the baby penguin is new-born and the emperor penguinn is taking care of the baby penguin. the baby penguin needs to get to know who the mother is so the daddy penguin pushes the baby penguin to the mother so she and the baby get quality time. when the emperor penguin pushes the baby the mother then baby penguin has to be on the ice less than 2 min or else it will die . Once the mother has her baby she give the baby it full meal and she gets to bond with her baby.hope this answer helps :P
