I have an iPod touch and when I delete applications the memory that it uses comes back. I used my iPod touch to type this.
One can purchase a used iPod on eBay, Craigslist, and Amazon. If one would rather buy a refurbished iPod, one can buy one at Apple's online store, Gamestop, and Amazon.
There is no way you can delete a song. Even if you gift. But all songs are great. Get used to it

you must download itunes onto your computer from www.apple.com/itunes, and then install it. when done plug your ipod in to your usb port on your computer with the 30 pin cable. it should show up in itunes under the device list, and from there you can manage your ipod and add/remove songs/photos/videos/etc from it.

My mp3 player currently has over 500 songs on it, and it has used around 4gb, so no...its probably not right, unless you have really long songs?
Are you asking if the program itself can be used on the IPOD? Or, are you asking if the song/files downloaded can be used on the IPOD? If your question is the latter, then yes, files/songs can be transfered and used on the IPOD. I don't know what kind of IPOD you have, but I don't think there are any Limewire "Apps" for the NEW IPODS.
