When you change your itunes from on e computer to the other where did your songs go?

The songs will still be there on the original computer. If you want to copy your songs to your new computer you are free to do so and it will work without problems.
If you are having problems copying the songs from the original computer you may download your already purchased songs again from iTunes on your new computer without an additional charge. (Given that you use the same Apple ID)
