No. When a vehicle is repossessed either voluntarily or by the lender, it must be sold at public auction for the fair market value or as close to that amount as possible. Any deficiency between the sale price and the loan balance will be the responsibility of the primary borrower and/or cosigner.
if you get more than one credit check in a given period of time it will reflect badly on your credit. you have the right to take your credit report with you once you authorize someone to pull your credit. then you can take that to another dealer if you are car shopping rather than having a bunch of people pull your credit. good luck!

If you mean repossessed, sorry, no. Doesn't matter if it was auctioned off or re-sold to anybody else, if you didn't make the payments (on time or not at all) that will still reflect on your credit, badly for 7 years.

One does a credit history check by running a credit report. There are three major credit bureaus which handle this, and the most complete history is obtained by running a report through all three. There are ways to do this for free at least once a year. Once the credit history report is run, then the report should be looked over and any mistakes, particularly ones which reflect badly on the creditor, should be corrected.
