When you know there will be bad weather is it wise to put on the pool cover on an above ground pool or is it ok to just leave it open?

you cover your pool to keep debris out and keep heat and chemicals in whether the weather is good or bad.

I clean my filter and skimmer basket and leave my pump running. I do not cover my pool. I guess it could depend on the weather in your area and if you have a problem with leaves getting in your pool.

Alage grows with light, hopefully you have a dark cover, just leave the pool covered, if you can put some alage destroyer in the pool when ever you think about it once a month or so you should be fine, however the debris that collects on top of the cover that should not be allowed to build up that's where you get into trouble try to remove or keep it off the cover and uncover the pool next year,
