Sounds like a pulley may be freezing up. Have a mechanic check the pulleys.
It sounds like you have a break in the wire which connects your alternator to your battery, get it checked out.
First, why was the battery replaced? If there was a pre-existing problem (like a bad starter, for example), replacing the battery will not solve the problem. If, however, the car started fine before battery replacement, then the problem could be that the battery terminals (clamps) were not sufficiently tightened. Don't laugh, but there have been instances where the plastic cap(s) covering the new battery's positive and negative terminals were not removed (duh!). Remove those plastic caps.
I have a 1993 silverado that was doing the same thing, and the problem turned out to be a bad regulator inside my brand new alternator. Ireplaced it and went ahead and replaced the battery, I haven't had the problem since! Hope this helps. I had the same problem on my '96 golf mk 3, it can be either a) not making contact on battery terminals or b) the battery needs to be replaced... Hope it helps 1) new battery may be the needed if its not solved, check the fuses (couple need be replaced) ,i did that started working.
Same Troubles I have an 04 Trailblazer and just had my battery replaced as well and a 125 amp fuse. The mechanic at the dealership told me we blew the fuse because when we jump started the suv, we crossed polarity. I told him we didn't but he wouldn't check the dash vent fuses without another labor charge so i am stuck with frozen feet and frosted windows for a few weeks! I was hoping to find an answer! The same problem happened to me when I replaced the battery. I too have an 03 Trailblazer. The AC works great through the defrost and the floor, but no vent! I'll keep looking for the answer. I hope someone posts the solution fast. It gets hot in Texas. Same here...'03 therr are two answeres to this problem posted on this site my best solution is to pay a dealer. You need to replace the HVAC mode actuator. This is found under the dash. Trailvoy.com has additional details on how to replace this. Do a search in their forums. They have answers to almost anything dealing with Trailblazers and Envoys.
This is not a battery problem. Your charging system, the alternator, is not putting out enough juice to charge the battery until you reach 4000 rpm. Have the alternator and charging system checked.
Assuming it started and ran before you changed the battery, and changing the battery actually is when the problem began, the starter relay wire has been left off and needs to be connected at the battery terminal. I would need more information to diagnose it further.
You may have an electrical problem. need a professional tech to look at it. I just found out that it is a gauge cluster problem. This is not the first time I heard this as I did call the dealership and explained to the mechanic what was happening, he said and the same thing. It is not uncommon for this problem in trailblazers. If the gauges are not working, then your battery is not getting charged up.
It could be a starter problem....can you tell where the click is coming from? is it the started clicking, or a relay clicking?
I have a 2005 trailblazer that does the opposite. I leave it on the trip mode and occasionally when I get in to start up the trailblazer the trip mode goes back to the odometer mode on its own. A while back if I remember correctly it did this before along with other things started happening such as the trailblazer gauges started acting up all at once, then the battery needed jumped off cause the trailblazer would not start. Once a new battery was installed I never had any more problems. This has been 4 1/2 years ago and now since this has happen again except the gauges are still working fine and no problems starting up, I'm not so sure if this is another sign that my battery is getting ready to die again.
Figure out whether the car has an alarm system. Aftermarket or original. It may have freaked out.
The alternator is not charging the battery, therefore, the coil is getting it's charge only from the battery.
