it right behind the distributor shaft. Yeah I found it on the drivers side of distributer in the block. My only problem now is I cant get to it seems the wiper motor and everything else is in the way I hope I dont have to pull the distributer:( Anyone know what I have to take off or the easiest way to be able to access it and replace it? thanks
The switch is integral to the transmission.
Vortec is the motors name in the blazer and it is a great motor
It's called an inertia switch, or a fuel pump switch.
From what I been reading there is no egr on this engine.
The ground strap on a 1997 Chevy Blazer 4.3 Vortec is located along the bottom of the engine near the frame. It ensures that electricity flows properly through the entire vehicle.
On the Vortec the computer does it all.
It is mounted inside of the distributor under the rotor button.
Top rear of engine, next to the distributor, drivers side.
I would like to know if my 2002 chevy blazer with a stock 4.3 vortec pull 2000 lbs ?
Yes.

Most major auto part stores will stock the standard EGR valve for a Vortec 4.3-liter engine. You may have to visit several to find one that has it.
