Best Answer

The Filipinos have been around for long. It was only in 1521 that Ferdinand Magellan had discovered the islands. Some instances that count as evidences for this include the Banaue Rice Terraces, which have been around even before the arrival of the Spanish. It was also evident that there have been trades between the Filipinos and some nearby countries for a long time.

Theory on the origin of Filipino people?

The Filipino people are believed to have originated from a combination of Austronesian, Malay, Chinese, Spanish, and other influences over centuries of trade, migration, and colonization in the Philippines. The Austronesian migration theory suggests that the earliest settlers in the Philippines came from Taiwan around 4,000 to 2,000 BC, bringing with them their language, culture, and agricultural practices.
