Be molre specific, which religions? Judaism and Christianity first began in the Middle East thousands of years ago. Jews and Christians worship the same God. But unlike Christians, Jews believe Jesus was only a prophet(like John the Baptist), not actually the Messiah. Musslum, Hinduism, and Islam began in the Middle East as well, but more recently. They seek Nirvana. Hindus worship over 300 Gods. Buddism is not a religion, It's a "system of beliefs" , it began in Asia. Buddist have about the same morals as Christians. They follow the beliefs of Buddah, but do not worship him. I've even heard of Christian Buddist. It is a common misconnception that buddism is a religion.

Answer 1

The religion was founded before even start of universe creation. It was founded by Allah (or God in English and same God worshiped in Christianity and Judaism). The religion upon its beginning is based on full submission to God and surrender to His will. This is what meant by Islam word. Hence Islam is God religion since start of mankind. All God prophets since Adam, Idris, Noah, ..., Abraham, Ismael, Isaac, Jacob,..., Joseph, ..., Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (peace be upon them all) called their people to Islam; That is worshiping God and submission to Him as the one and only one God with no son, no father, no companion, no associate, and no equivalence. Islam per Torah God revelation to Moses is called Judaism. Islam per Bible God revelation to Jesus is called Christianity. Islam per Quran God revelation to Muhammad is called the very name Islam as it is the last God religion, Quran is the last God holy book, and Muhammad is the last God prophet.

Answer 2

There was no one founding of religion. Religions began to exist in rudimentary animst forms for thousands of years and developed independently of one another. It was not until the international travel and conquests of the bronze period that different religions began to come into contact with one another.
