Case of the missing spark plugs? Not a problem, they are located under a lid on top the motor. The lid spells out Kia on top of it. There are large Phillips screws holding it on. They sometimes become rusty, so you may need to spray them with PB Blaster first. After you take that off, you will see 2 large black boxes, these are the coil packs. They are held on by smaller Phillips screws. Remove ONE of them, (PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE WIRES THAT ARE CONNECTED TO THE COIL PACKS! YOU WILL PUT THEM BACK IN THE SAME POSITION!), you will see the spark plugs down in the hole. After you change the one side, change the other.
FYI...It doesnt hurt to draw the diagram of the wires out on paper so you don't forget where they go. Also, make sure and put the coils packs in the same position that you removed them from.
