The relay is up inside the dash on the left (driver side) end. One can reach it from below with appropriate acrobatics. Refer to this link for more details: http://www.justanswer.com/honda/33lmk-cigarette-lighter-doesn-t-work-fuse-fine-relay.html This article also goes through troubleshooting so it will be useful for you all the way around.
Refer to your Civics owner manual or contact a certified mechanic to replace the fuses.
how come my cigarette lighter keeps blowing fuses in my 2000 ranger
AnswerThe cigarette lighter does not have a relay. It does however have a fuse. It may use the same fuse as the radio. If all fuses are good, suspect the lighter itself is bad. Try your lighter in a know good lighter receptacle. If it works there, then suspect the lighter receptacle in your car is bad.My Haynes repair manual for model years 1990 through 1993 states that the cigarette lighter relay is found in the left end of the dashboard below the PGM-FI relay.
where are the fuses located on a 2008 Nissan altima the outlets and cigarette lighter don't work
it is in the fuses box inside the vehicle i belive it is # 17 and is 25amp
( # 28 ) is for the front cigarette lighter and ( # 22 ) is for the rear cigarette lighter / power plug Both fuses are yellow color , 20 amp
If I remember there are some fuses in the side of the dash on the passenger side, open the door and remove the panel to show fuses and one of them is the cigarette lighter.
The fuse panel is under the hood on the driver's side. The 20A cigarette lighter fuse is #13.
