----- 1/15/09 ------ Greetings, 2 at each steering knuckle (upper and lower joints). They are usually covered with dirt and need to be scraped. The steering linkage has 5 grease fittings, starting at the tie rod ends and moving inboard to the steering gear. Remove the front mud plate under the radiator/axle and look for pivot points along the steering rods.

There are no grease fittings on the new cars as the ball joints and steering assembly is maintenance free.

Grease fittings are located at upper and lower ball joints, outer tie rod ends, inner tie rod ends, pitman arm and both ends of idler arm.
If the components are original they are sealed with no grease fittings

You grease the suspension on a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer by attaching a grease gun to the grease fittings. Grease is then injected into the fitting until it leaks back out.
grease your ball joints if you dont have grease fittings u will need to replace them
