follow the negative battery cable to the frame that is usually the main ground but there are many body tied ground cables throughout the car

There is a Positive (HOT) & Negative (Ground) battery cable. There are also lots of other HOT wires that are carrying current throughout the vehicle. What exactly are you referring too? hundereds of wires get a book at advance or napa for your car
coil, distributor, distributor cap, plugs, or wires.
The tach should have 3 wires a 12v accessory, ground, and rpm wire. The rpm wire is the blue one on the distributor.

You disconnect the wires to the little black box labeled Python usually under the dash on the drivers side.
disconnect your batter first. then take the 3 wires off.... then the three bolts and u should be done

Prelude Fuel PumpPop the trunk and remove the spare tire and cover then look right up against the back seat from the trunk side and you will see a silver plate with 6 screws in it. You remove that plate and yes it is difficult because of where the screws are. There is your fuel pump and the top of the fuel tank , be careful not to break the electrical connectors and make sure you disconnect the battery before you remove the pump, as you don't want to ground out any wires and cause sparks.
