Where are the individual components in a 1992 Ford Festiva engine compartment?
On a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria : The automatic transmission fluid level dipstick is in the engine compartment It can be found near the firewall ( the metal wall dividing the engine compartment from the passenger compartment ) It is at the rear of the engine , where the transmission bolts to the engine It is on the passenger side of the engine , inside the engine compartment
the block is a solid piece of metal, it has to be solid for strength. If you make it out of modular components then it will be more likely to break under the extreme heat and stress. Also, the individual pistons would cause a huge amount of vibration, which would ware down the engine faster, and most likely ruin the camshaft and other components.
On a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer : The Powertrain Control Module ( PCM ) is in the engine compartment , passing through the firewall . From the engine compartment , towards the passenger side of the engine compartment , you will see where the wiring harness is bolted to one end of the PCM at the firewall ( most of the PCM is " hidden " behind the glove compartment )
The thread on cap on your engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap on your 1997 Ford Crown Victoria The engine coolant reservoir is the white plastic tank located on the passenger side of the engine compartment near the firewall that divides the engine compartment from the passenger compartment
