If you are talking Mk2 Focus, you need to purchase an ISOFIX mount kit from your Ford dealer (approx £15). This then attaches to pre-drilled holes (bolts supplied in kit - Torx size 10 I think) found under the base of backrest of the rear seats, one set on each side of the vehicle. You can see 2 black coloured blanks when lifting up the rear seats. I believe you have to remove the appropriate rear seat temporarily to fit the kit. TH - Derbyshire
You can retro fit ISOFIX to all Focus models. I did it to a 99 model.
currently trying to sort this out for my 05 plate focus and have been told i have to buy the mounts from ford dealer for around £17.00
it should, have a look at rear seats there should be a tag low down on the seat backs with isofix written on it
There are none, you have to let a mechanic install it.
yes
Isofix provides a method of installing carseats and booster chairs quickly, safely, and without the use of the vehicles seatbelts. Isofix uses two standard attachment points located at the base of the seat and a anti tipping forward device.
In the MK3 Mondeo on the back seat under the cover, you need to cut the drape.
my mother
Not usually. If there is leakage it is usually at the ports (fill points).
if its a mk 6 fiesta there in the usual place, if you sit in the seat they are either side of your bum, slip your fingers between seat base and seat back and you'll feel them, only just out of sight, doesnt appear to be a top tether connection tho
