Remove the water supply hoses from your 1987 Ford E1 50 heater core. Remove the heater core retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new heater core.
Chilton's says to remove hoses from the 2 connectors inside engine compartment and remove the dash panel and lower panel. Then reach inside and pull the heater core out.

NO HEAT Either the teater core is pluged up , or the acturator motor stop working , check the heater hoses both of them for heat they halfto be HOT!!!!! if they are not then get heater core flushed , the acturator motot is under Heater box behind black vent covet bottom dash

Under the dashboard on the passenger side. Look in the engine compartment for the hoses that go from the engine through the firewall. Those are generally the heater hoses, which go to the heater core.Drain radiator first. Remove the two hoses that go though the fireware into the heater core. May have to remove a few other hoses and other things to get to them. They are supposed to be quick release connectors but might be a pain to remove. Should be abel to just squeeze the plastic tabs and pull the hoses off. Wasn't so easy for me.On the inside just above were the passanger's feet would be is a box. Remove the cover and drain pan. There is another cover on the side of the box. Remove that cover and the heater core is there.
