Where can I obtain insurance for a new restaurant?

If you are located in California, I would recommend that you contact Bryan Cruz and his staff at Restaurant Insurance Group. They are the very best service and rates for the past 20 years, and I used to shop multiple carriers every year. Not only do they automatically shop my restaurants out every year, they also develop special programs with carriers unique to restaurants.

If you look on the internet you will see a lot of agents and brokers that will try to link and market to restaurant owners, but you will find that they all have pretty much the same markets and not the experience. In fact, I know that where I'm located that they insure over one-half of the restaurants in my town and and much as 70-80% in some nearby areas. I know they cover the whole state.

I was originally recommended to them by a friend of mine who was involved with the Calif Rest Assoc. Now, when agents telemarket me, I tell them who I have and they refuse to quote saying that I'm with the best markets already. Not only that,..their name speaks for itself. The affiliate agencies are: California Restaurant Insurance Services, Executive Commercial Insurance Services.

I know Bryan very well, and he's beyond the average insurance agent. He's a wealth of knowledge about the restaurant industry and really honest hard working people. They have been around over 20 years and own the business and they are still a young aggressive crew. No voice mail and actually answer the phone,..no getting back to you the next day. No pushy sales people. Even the big brokers have checked my policies and say "you've got the best quality and best price..I cant touch it".

My restaurant friends all have them and we compare notes. They are the real deal and the best restaurant insurance broker anywhere. I would not open up a new restaurant without talking to them first. Dont settle for less, because you will end up paying more somewhere else, for an off the shelf policy, and not even get the advice or service they give for free. They have the passion. They have a good sized staff who have been there a long while. Ask for a same day quote and you'll get it.

For all the time they spend keeping me in business, typing this is a pleasure. I hope my customers like my restaurant as much. I dont know how they do what they do, but bless them. They earn my business.
