I'll take a stab at this one... I assume you are referring to hand sign (fingerspelling) in a word processing software. If so, you can download fonts that convert the keystrokes into hands in the shape of the alphabet or numbers. I have one installed for Microsoft Word that is called Gallaudet. A quick Google search brought up several sources for this font. My font download will convert letters and numbers but not the specialized keys like ? * %. When I use this font it comes out very small, faint, and thus hard to read. I increase the size of the font and make it bold to help.
