How do you change the Power Steering Pump Hose on a 2000 Nissan Maxima Need a diagram of where hose is located its very difficult to see entire hose?

If you are speaking of the hose from the reservoir to the pump, it is fairly easy. Drain as much fluid as possible from the reseroir. Get the car up on jacks, then from underneath, locate the pump. The hose, is attached at the rear of the pump with a simple compression type hose clamp, the same as the one on the top of the hose underneath the reservoir. Use a small pair of plumber pliers. There is only room for one hand to grip the pliers to compress the clamp. Pull down the clamp until it is off the hose then remove the hose by pulling straight up then remove the top clamp and the hose slips of easily. Put the lower clamp back on the hose up about three or four inches before you put the new hose back in. You will likely need to get a new hose from the dealer. I wasn't able to find one, checked the old hose and reused it.

Where is the PCV valve in a 2001 Kia Sephia?

The PVC valve is located at the top left of the engine, it runs parallel to the ground. When looking at it all you will see is a hose going into the engine with a hose clamp open the hose clamp with a pair of pliers pull the hose back, and there is the PVC Valve you may need to use a flat tip screw driver to get it out. To install the new one all you do is push it in, it should go with little effort then put the hose back on. Doing this will aid to lessen your fuel consumption.

How and where do I reattach hose that has fallen off from coolant reservoir tank on 1995 GMC Jimmy?

There should be two hoses which attach to this tank. Find the one that's disconnected... that's where it'll reattach. How... that depends. If it's just a clamp which came off, you go to NAPA or wherever, and buy a hose clamp... get the ones that you tighten down with a screwdriver or an 8mm or 5/16" socket... don't get the self tightening ones which you just use a pair of pliers for.. those are junk. If the piece which the hose attaches to came off the reservoir tank, you'll have to replace the reservoir tank.

Where could one find information on how hose clamps are made?

There are a wide variety of hose clamps so to better find out how a hose clamp is made it depends on which type of hose clamp that is being referred to. A typical "adjustable by screw" type hose clamp starts out with a band of thin metal that is perforated with slots. A fastening device is then attached along with a screw that makes the band move in or out determining on how tight/loose the clamp will be. Another type is a spring hose clamp which is steel that is bent into a ring form with two prongs that are squeezed to open the clamp. Clamp is then tempered to ensure that the form of the spring is held after several uses and much wear.

How do you change a lower radiator hose on a 1994 Accura Legend?

Not much to changing any radiator hose really, when you purchase the new one it will be shaped just like the old one so how it goes is just like the one you are taking off. Remember to buy two new clamps while you are at it. Drain the radiator ( if its not already ) loosen the clamps on both sides of the hose and use a flat screwdriver to loosen the hose from its connector by prying it in between gently, you can use some slip joint pliers to twist the hose while doing this. After that the hose should come right off and reverse the procedure for install but make sure the clamp goes on past the bulge in the fitting.

How do you change the pcv valve on a 1993 Toyota Paseo?

First, locate the pcv valve. It is on the top of the valve cover in the center of it and has a small hose(about 4" long) going into the intake manifold. Now you will need needle nose pliers to remove the clamp from the pcv valve. Take your pliers and grab the round clamp at the two ends facing up and squeeze until the clamp opens. While holding the clamp open, gently move the pliers left and right while pushing towards the intake manifold. Once the clamp has moved off the valve, release the pliers. You should now be able to remove the rubber hose from the valve. Pull the hose off the valve. Now that the hose is removed, you should see the plastic end of the valve(right angle shape) Next, hold the valve at the base of the grommet(this is on the valve cover) pull up on it while twisting it back an forth. This part may be a little hard as some pcv grommets are tighter than others. Removed it little by little. Don't try to pull it out all in one shot or it might snap apart. I'd recommend getting your replacement pcv valve from the dealer. I've seen some aftermarket valves not work properly. Now the reinstall. Take your replacement and put a small amount of oil(very little) on the valve where it inserts into the valve cover. push straight down on the top of the valve until it is fully seated. When the valve is fully seated, you should be able to turn the top of the valve into position facing the intake manifold. Now, attach the hose to the new pcv valve and use pliers to move the clamp back into place on the hose. You will notice a ring shaped imprint in the hose where the clamp should be seated. Good Luck!!! edit: I advise also replacing the grommet since it will eventually get so hard and brittle that when you do have to replace it it will break up and pieces will fall into the engine.

Air was sucking near the one of the fuel injector in ECHO 2000 car How you can solve the problem?

Was the air sucking through a loose hose? On my 2000 two-door I simply out the hose back on and move the hose clamp to a point where it would grip better. My alternative repair is to replace the hose clamp if the hose continues to slip off even after adjusting the stock hose clamp. Correction on the last answer. The air would not be sucked through the loose hose - it's actually sucked through the hose connector on the engine component (fuel injector system) after the hose slips off. The advice on the hose clamp is still good advice if this is the type of problem you are having - a loose hose that normally connects to the injector system.

Do you need a star nut for a scs clamp for push scooter?

How do remove hose from water pump of 1996 Ford Contour?

It depends on whether you have the four or six cylinder engine. On the four, remove the power steering pump without disconnecting the lines. First remove the three bolts on the front (insert your socket into the holes in the pulley and spin until you hit one, then remove it). Then pull the one bolt from the lower back, and slide the pump out (it is a tight squeeze, but it can be done). The OEM hose clamps are the squeeze kind; carefully pull the hose clamp down the line making sure that when you release the clamp you can reach it to put it back on. Twist the hose a bit with channel lock pliers to break it loose and then pull it off.
