Zinc is a coating on galvanized nails. It is also available in any marine store as a "sacrificial zinc anode". A zinc anode is also used in hot water heaters. On some it will be part of the Plumbing connections.
Oh, and post 1982 pennies have a zinc core. You could sand or grind the copper off if you wish.
