That transmission is all computer controlled. No vacuum lines on it.
If the button is not working, might be a vacuum line problem. Vacuum lines engage the 4x4, might need to check the lines to the 4x4 transfer case.
Normally the vacuum line from a brake booster goes to the intake manifold of a gasoline engine. Sometimes other lines will be tied in to feed vacuum to cruise control pots or 4x4 actuators, but the main hose will be larger.

The basic engine vacuum diagram should be located on the underside of the hood on an emission controls sticker. For a more detailed diagram, you may have to consult a repair manual at your local library or seek help from a dealer.
First you need to troubleshoot the 1994 LeSabre cruise control. Check the fuse, the cruise switch, the linkage, to find where the problem is. Check the vacuum lines on the engine as a vacuum leak can cause the cruise to not work properly.

To many to try and go thru on this site, but your Dakota should have the routing on a label that is on the under side of the hood. If not, my Chiltons book in the Emissions chapter starting at page 4-20 has routing diagrams for all of the engines.
The AC / Heater unit has doors that open and close inside the dashboard. One of the doors is stuck open or closed. Some cars this is done with cables when you pull the lever from hot to cold and others with vacuum lines when you push the buttons and have no lever to pull. Check a pull cables and vacuum lines. May have to take apart dash broad and see the door stuck open or closed. Then why does it not close could be a simple vacuum line to a broken door or plastic part.
