Your local mechanic store has manuals for sale and if those are not everything you need, then you can go to your local library, they usually have a large assortment of Chilton manuals. Now after you find that, you'll need to ask for a copy of it, they usually won't allow you to sign those books out.
You would need a drive shaft from a suburban
No it will not. The center shaft that run's through the inside of a 2 wheel drive trans. is shorter the the center shaft that's in a 4-wheel drive trans. The 4-wheel drive transmission center shaft is longer so it will fit into the transfur case.
It should just come out like the rear shaft, remove the 4 bolts on the front dif and the shaft should just slide out of the transfer case. I have a 98 suburban and it may require a bit of patience getting it around the exhaust pipe which is directly under the shaft.
You did not say what year it was, and that makes a difference. But you can check these things--- U-joints in front drive shaft, Front CV joints and axel shafts.
yes but you would have to replace drive shafts. The 4x4 shaft is shorter due to the transfer case.
tail shaft
The crank shaft sensor on a 2000 Chevy Suburban is located on the bottom of the engine, near the oil filter. It constantly monitors the crank shaft and updates the vehicle's computer of its status.
If it's a 2-wheel drive, Then it is screewed into the transmission tail shaft housing where the driveshaft goes into the transmission. If it's a 4-wheel drive then it will be screewed into the transfur case.
Yes it does.
