There are several institutions that teach first aid. The most well-known being the American red cross. You can find a red cross first aid class simply by going to their website. Other agencies that provide first aid training include your local fire department or EMS agency, or your local cert team or medical reserve corps group.
The American Red Cross trains many people in first aid procedures and CPR. The Red Cross will also furnish you or your organization with first aid pictures to place on your first aid kit.
The red cross is the universal first aid insignia.
It is overrated and inferior to a Red Cross basic first aid class. Basically learn how to treat shock, bleeding, and perform CPR.
They will be there in October 12, 2009.
Contact the local ARC and ask when & where the next CPR class will be taught.
Contact your local Red Cross branch to find out when they are holding classes. There is usually a nominal fee, and the certification has to be renewed periodically. I took a class of Red Cross babysitting and they taught me first aid and CPR. I think there is a separate class you can also take just for CPR and first aid. I'm pretty sure my babysitting class was around 40-60 bucks.
it is a cross that you would find at a hospital and it kind of means healing kit
I would contact your local chapter of the American Red Cross for first aid classes. Your local hospital may also offer classes.
Yes, the Red Cross does offer trainings like these. However, if you need to be certified, they cannot do that for you. You have to take an approved CPR class to do that.
