There are numerous references to Persia in The Bible, both on a temporal and on a spiritual level.

Esther, Nehemiah, Ezra, Daniel, and 2 Chronicles all make reference to Persia and/or one or more of its kings.

In the King James version

  3. 2 Chr 36:23 Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? The LORD his God be with him, and let him go up.

If you are searching for answers to Persia and how it is intertwined with end time prophecy, those verses are found in the book of Daniel as mentioned above 8,10,11. Remember that Modern day Iran changed its name during WWII from Persia to Iran which means Aryan. The other important historical tie is Media which refers back to the book of Daniel as Darius king of the Meeds who defeated the king of Babylon. Babylon is located in modern day Iraq. The prophecy concerning Persia and Media rising (Daniel 8) is most likely what we are observing today with the overthrow of the Middle East by Esau (Russia) and Ishmael (Muslim believers).

If you are looking for when the Hebrews were allowed to return to Jerusalem and build the second temple under our Fathers servant Cyrus, those verses can be found in the books of Chronicles and Ezra as mentioned above.

Don't place to much stock in the book of Ester as many scholars feel it was placed by the Kenite's to give credence to those who claimed to be Jews and were not of Judah (Christ identifies them in John chapter 8 starting with verse 33). Ester was supposed to take place during the time of Daniel, however the prophet never mentions ester. Ester is also in its correct format aligns with the word ishtar, which was a goddess of those who lived in the region of Canaan, before the Hebrews came to that land.

the word "Persian" appears twice

  1. Neh 12:22 The Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, were recorded chief of the fathers: also the priests, to the reign of Darius the Persian.
  2. Dan 6:28 So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

the word "Persians" appears 5 times

  1. Est 1:19 If it please the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, that it be not altered, That Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal estate unto another that is better than she.
  2. Dan 5:28 PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.
  3. Dan 6:8 Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
  4. Dan 6:12 Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
  5. Dan 6:15 Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.
