I have never heard of this. What I think you mean is if you have rental car plan in your personal insurance and they rent the car that is close to the car you have covered under their plan... If that's the case it would be in your insurance policy and that would be between you and your insurance. The rental car company has nothing to do with your insurance policy..... Rental car companies supply the type of car you make a reservations for.
You should get in trouble because you caused the accident.
it can be dangerous because you could get in a accident and die. Even without driving, drinking is bad for you
The accident will show but it will be marked as a not at fault accident and should not increase your insurance rates.
It should, if you let someone borrow your car, coverages should apply.
the insurance of the person responsible for the accident
You handle it just like any other insurance claim. However, you (or your insurer) will talk to the rental company in charge of the vehicle rather than the person driving it. Still get all of the other drivers information though. Don't worry, most legit rental companies have fleet insurance that covers their cars. The driver of the rental car may be held liable for damages to the rental if they didn't purchase insurance on the rental themselves. Keep in mind, this IS NOT insurance on the car. When a driver purchases insurance on a rental, they are simply paying a fee to avoid any damages to the rental car should they be at fault in an accident or not.
As a seizure can happen at any time, someone who is driving at the time is obviously a potential risk. Different countries have different laws relating to driving and epilepsy. Someone who has any history of epilepsy is often barred for life from driving something like a bus and there is no way they could ever get a pilot license. For a car, it is often a case that they have to be clear of seizures for a period of time, like a year or two, before they will be allowed to get a driving license. A truck being a larger vehicle, poses a larger potential risk on a road, so the law would be stricter, but that depends on where someone is. It differs from one place to another. You would need to check with the laws where you are.
It's something you should not do unless you want to get in an accident.
Vacations are generally much more entertaining when travelers have access to rental cars. The Internet can be used to find the ultimate car rental deal. When driving a rental car, consumers should exercise extreme caution. Having accidents in rental cars may make it harder to secure the best rental deals in the future. Consumers should also take out the maximum allowed rental insurance.
When driving, you should always keep your eyes on the road. Looking anywhere other than at the road can result in an accident.
If the person driving was given permission then all coverage should apply per the provisions of your particular policy.
Yes, you should.
