Warren National University

Warren National University, formally known as Kennedy-Western University, is an American distance learning university that offers undergraduate and graduate degrees. Warren is currently not accredited by any accreditation body recognized by its country.

The advice is to stay away from non-accredited institutions.

Viper1 Kennedy-Western University was investigated in 2004 as a part of a Senate Hearing. You can read the results under either of the following titles: Senate Hearing 108-353 "Bogus Degrees and Unmet Expectations, Are Taxpayer Dollars Subsidizing Diploma Mills?" "Federal Employees Have Obtained Degrees from Diploma Mills and Other Unaccredited Schools, Some at Government Expense." The testimony is quite long, but two things stick out about this school. Kennedy-Western admitted that they grant 55% of degrees for "life experience", and that life experience isn't even verified. Also, a Coast Guard member enrolled in a major with which she was unfamiliar. A large part of her master's degree was waived, and of the 5 remaining courses, she states. "With just 16 hours of study, I had completed 40 percent of the course requirements for a master's degree." The school is still in the news frequently since the hearing.
